Carnival of Independence! 79-meter Flag Raising in an Aquarium

In celebration of Indonesia's 79th Independence Day, BXSea officially raised a 79-meter-long flag inside Indonesia's largest aquarium on Saturday (17 August 2024). The flag-raising took place simultaneously at the Raja Ampat Aquarium on the B1 and B2 floors, Sea Theater, and Sea Tunnel.

The festive and emotional atmosphere melted into one when the reading of the Proclamation Script and the song Indonesia Raya were sung alternately. A total of six divers unfurled a 7 x 6.5-meter flag in the Raja Ampat Aquarium. At the same time, a 79m-long flag was unfurled by 22 divers at the Aquarium Sea Tunnel and Sea Theater. 

“I really appreciate the cooperation of the BXSea team. This event really made the atmosphere of Journey Raja Ampat, Sea Tunnel and Sea Theater very festive and even touching. We present this event to Seaventurers to increase their love for the Indonesian homeland. Thank you to the visitors who have come to celebrate Indonesia's Independence Day at BXSea,” explained Sri Agung Agus P as BXSea Unit Leader.

“It is a great pride to be able to fly the 79-meter red and white flag on the 79th Indonesian Independence Day. I represent the divers in the aquarium and am very happy to see the enthusiasm of visitors from inside the aquarium. This time BXSea is not alone, we invited the professional diver community, namely Kurabesi. Happy Indonesia!” said Ramadhan Kemal, BXSea's Curator and Diver Manager. 

“I deliberately wanted to watch the first flag raising at the BXSea Aquarium with my family. As expected, it was really exciting, cool, especially since we were given to hold the flag one by one. I was at the sea theater spot, curious about the tunnel and Raja Ampat spots. Hopefully there will be more next year,” said Nida, one of BXSea's Seaventurers. 

During this Carnival Event there are several promos offered by BXSea to Seaventurers.  Some of the promos offered include promos for Seaventurers who have elements of the names Agus, Soekarno, and Hatta will get a 50% discount on admission tickets valid during the month of August, birth date promos for Seaventurers born on August 17 will be given free tickets with a promo period starting from August 16 - August 31, 2024. 

“This promo is a special gift for Indonesian people who were born especially on August 17 and whose names are Agus, Soekarno, and Hatta. We are very happy because we got good feedback from the visitors,” said Clara Meinita Leatemia as Marketing & Collection Manager. 

In order to get the promo, there are several terms and conditions that Seaventurer must fulfill. Such as the identity card carried must be genuine, who get promos only those who have an identity card with that name, and promos are only valid for purchases through the BXSea cashier.
